Hunting Lodge Exterior Complete!

Here’s a little look behind the scenes about what we were up to this past summer here in Alabama at Carver Whitetails!

We recently completed the makeover to the exterior of our hunting lodge. What started as a basic, red brick ranch, now has a gable feature and fresh painted brick. If you’ve done any painting recently, you’ve heard of SW’s popular Agreeable Gray, lol! We finished off the details with cedar, stone, and black trim accents.

There was a tree in front of the lodge that we ultimately ended up removing. It was a little too close to the building and it was blocking sunlight access to the yard. With it gone, we were able to install fresh zoysia sod for a uniform look. As a finishing detail, we brought in this unique deer statue from a place in Jena’s hometown. It’s one of the first things you see as you pull onto the property for your hunting trip!

Every year, we invest back into the property to make it better than the year before. When we purchased this beautiful property in January 2021, we focused on the interior of the buildings to make it as unique as possible! (Our Alabama Hunting Lodge page has all the interior pictures.) We’ve been so appreciative of our hunter’s feedback enjoying the wood on on the walls, fun games, and everything that gives it the homey, lodge feeling you’d expect with a dream hunting experience!

Updating the exterior was something we knew we wanted to do, but we wanted to make sure we got it right. Once you paint brick, there’s no going back! We’re so proud of how it turned out, and are looking forward to hosting you here for your next hunt!
